The mission of the Imperial Air Force is the same in the Middle East, but it's command structure differs from other Imperial Air Force organizations. The commander of the Imperial 1st Combined Arms Army is the commander of all Imperial forces in the theater, so he also commands the Imperial Air Force - Middle East.
